It is in a beautiful corner of France, Cercoux, that my family decided to stir up the local food scene with their incredible flavors. Over the past four years, I've had the chance to be right by their side, helping them turn their passion for food into a successful business. My mom, Christine, is the brain behind our venture. With her keen business sense, she turned our kitchen's divine creations into a profitable enterprise. Meanwhile, my dad, Hervé, has a magic touch when it comes to food. He's a wizard with a spatula, bringing his enchanting recipes to life. Then there's my sister, Maïlys, who could put any dessert lover under her spell with her exceptional baking skills. Together, they make an unbeatable team! Our food journey started with my parents' shared love and experience for cooking. Initially working for well recognized establishments in France and Belgium, my parents understood their potential and decided to turn their passion into a business. My mom took over running the business while my dad focused on creating culinary masterpieces in the kitchen. Maïlys, who has been studying baking in depth, had a knack for all things digital. She used her tech-savvy skills to give our family business a powerful presence online. Meanwhile, I focused on creating our websites and put some structure on our social media accounts, helping to spread the word about our mouth-watering offerings. The combination of my family's old-school cooking and some modern techniques soon had people flocking to our door. Then, the COVID-19 pandemic struck, and like a storm, it changed everything. Businesses everywhere were struggling, but my family didn't let this slow them down. They saw this as a challenge and decided to meet it head-on. Since people couldn't come to us, we decided to take our food to them. We started offering takeaway and delivery options. Alongside our efforts, we started diversifying our offering, and built a pipeline of boutiques and markets where we would sell packaged meals for the ones looking to spice up their meals. These ideas not only kept our business going but also brought us closer to our customers. Throughout this journey, my role has been to support my family's dreams. From late-night strategy sessions to the thrill of a new dish becoming a hit, I've been there. The journey wasn't easy, but watching my family's hard work pay off has been incredibly rewarding. Today, our little family business isn't so little anymore. We've grown in so many ways, and not just in terms of profit. We recently opened a boutique, and have a potential new restaurant in mind. We've built strong relationships with our customers and earned their trust. We've shown everyone that a small family with a big passion for food can do wonders.
